Nucor Corporation was incorporated in Delaware in 1958. The business of Nucor  Corporation and its subsidiaries is the manufacture and sale of steel and steel  products, which accounted for the majority of the sales and earnings in 2007,  2006 and 2005. The earnings in 2005 include other income of $9.2 million in  settlement of claims against third parties related to environmental matters.  Nucor is North America?s largest recycler, using scrap steel as the primary  material in producing our products.
